Radio Rebelde [Rebel Radio] is a research project and installation in the form of a radio station. This radio station doesn't report on current events, isn't in tune with local events, and doesn't speak the language from which it broadcasts. Its programs are not broadcast over the airwaves. It is a counter-radio that is underground, delocalized, foreign. A radio that requires you to come closer to hear it. A radio that restores the voices of the past, the archaeological remains of a time when Latin America and the Caribbean rebelled through sound. Radio Rebelde is an invitation to become part of a utopian community of tuners, not only suspended in the electromagnetic spectrum, but also capable of gathering in time and space.
