The Corso Cinema, dating from 1912 and considered the oldest in its region. It was donated to the City of Martigny by Léonard Gianadda in 2022, in a gesture of cultural heritage preservation. Originally named Royal Biograph, the Corso is located in a small house near the Fondation Gianadda.
At the time of its creation, Biograph, with which it was associated, was one of the largest American film companies, alongside Vitagraph. This cinema preceded the founding of famous Hollywood studios such as Universal, founded in 1915, and Paramount, which appeared in 1916.
