In this performative solo, Alexandra Bachzetsis questions how our bodies reflect, construct and transform our identities. Through intense, instinctive physical dance, she explores the blurred zones between self and other, human and non-human, reality and fiction. She blends movement, sound and images, blurring the boundaries between performance and documentation, between intimacy and the outside eye. In a pure, immersive space, RUSH(ES) invites the audience to enjoy a powerful sensory experience, in which the body becomes a tool for transformation, resistance, and questioning what it means to "be oneself" today.

A Swiss choreographer and performer of Greek origin, Alexandra Bachzetsis first worked as a dancer in the context of contemporary dance and performance, notably with Sasha Waltz & Guests in Berlin and Les Ballets C. de la B. in Ghent. She has developed a hybrid body of work at the crossroads of performance, contemporary dance and the visual arts. Her work questions gender constructions, social codes of the body and representations in popular culture.
