La Centrale
Chandoline plant
La Centrale, a vast modernist-style building designed in 1934 by Ticino architect and engineer Daniele Buzzi, is the nerve center of the 1st edition of Biennale Son.
Although disused, this hydroelectric power station is still connected to the Grande Dixence dam by penstocks.
La Centrale hosts an exhibition that spans the entire space, as well as the majority of performances and concerts.
