Transfers Through Shared Skins, 2025

Lara Dâmaso's performance explores the transformation and transmission of the voice through different resonant bodies and instruments. Her voice, broadcast live and looped, is transmitted to transducers attached to a drum kit: each element reacts to a specific range of the vocal spectrum (bass drum for lows, snare drum for highs, hi-hat for overtones). Drummer Alex Lazaro intervenes simultaneously, creating a lively dialogue between voice and percussion that blurs the boundaries between instrument and performer.
