Rhapsodie Smiley

Stepping, walking, is at the heart of this performance designed by Marie-Caroline Hominal for the vast hall of La Centrale. The title pays homage to the rhapsodes, the interpreters of Homer and other Greek authors who went from town to town declaiming their epics. The performer will thus walk, developing the binary structure of the movement of walking, the most basic and natural of human movements. And that Smiley? As she moves her body, Marie-Caroline will compose a series of emotions on her face, evoked today by emojis that owe much to the masks of Greek theater.
